A Letter from the Founder

If you're reading this, chances are you and I have something in common — we care deeply about where our money goes.

I've always been an avid planner when it comes to finances. Budgeting, tracking expenses, monitoring investments — it's not just a habit for me, it's how I stay in control. I'm the kind of person who opens a spreadsheet before opening Instagram. I genuinely believe that knowing your numbers is the first step to financial freedom.

For years, I was on a quest to find the perfect personal finance tracker. I tried everything — from popular apps to obscure tools, spreadsheets to banking aggregators. Some were too simple. Others were bloated with features I'd never use. A few came close, but none of them truly fit the way I manage money.

I manage finances across multiple countries and currencies. I needed something that could handle my accounts in India and abroad seamlessly — with proper Indian Rupee formatting, Lakhs and Crores, and cross-currency transfers. I needed budgets that actually made sense, not just pie charts that look pretty. I needed to see my net worth grow over time, track recurring payments without manual entry every month, and set savings goals that kept me accountable.

Nothing out there checked all the boxes. So I decided to build it myself.

What started as a personal side project — a tool built purely for my own use — slowly evolved into something much bigger. As I kept refining and adding features, I realized this wasn't just solving my problem. There are thousands of people like me — expats juggling multiple currencies, freelancers with irregular income, families trying to get a handle on monthly spending, young professionals starting their investment journey — all looking for that one app that just gets it right.

That's how PaisaTrack was born.

The name says it all — "Paisa" means money in Hindi, and we're here to help you track every single one of them. Whether it's a coffee you bought this morning or a mutual fund SIP you've been running for years, PaisaTrack gives you the complete picture of your financial life in one place.
